Information Entered by a Visitor
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that returns the search results. Florida Residents Directory's own servers do not retain a copy of those queries. If a visitor contacts us, we use the details in that message to respond.
Basic Technical Logs
The hosting service records routine technical details such as IP address, browser type, page requests, and time stamps. We review grouped traffic information to maintain the service and understand which topics are used. Cookies or similar tools may be used for simple analytics and, where enabled, ad measurement.
How Site Data Is Used
Technical data helps us run the reference, resolve faults, measure visits, and refine content. We do not sell a list of visitors or create a personal profile for each reader.
Privacy on Linked Services
Florida county and state portals, libraries, archives, and outside search tools each set their own privacy terms. Those providers govern what happens to information a visitor enters on their pages. Sponsored results are supplied by an outside company and follow that provider's rules.
Who Receives Technical Information
Hosting and support vendors process the logs needed to keep the site online. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the technical information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it.
Safeguards and Retention
Connections to the site use encryption, and log data is kept only for the purposes described in this policy. Because the site has no reader accounts, it does not keep an account password or profile here.
Children and Teen Visitors
This reference is intended for adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor sent information, and we will remove it from the contact material we control.
Requests About Information
Depending on where a visitor lives, local law may allow requests to access, correct, or delete personal information a website maintains. Florida's Public Records Law, Fla. Stat. chapter 119, governs access to many records held by public offices, subject to exemptions; those government records are not controlled by this reference. Since we hold little visitor information, we can check the contact mailbox and technical logs for a specific request. Write through the Contact page to ask. Requests to change a state, county, or city record must go to that record's custodian.
Changes to This Policy
We will post a revised policy here when its terms change. Continued use after the update takes effect means the visitor accepts the new version.
